Wix

Signals sends the events your Wix Stores site already emits, orders and the checkout steps leading to them, to your advertising platforms from your server rather than from the shopper’s browser alone.

The integration runs through the Datahash Conversions API app on the Wix App Store, using server to server first-party tracking. There is no theme code to edit and nothing for a developer to install.

  • A Wix store, and access to install an app on it.
  • A registered domain whose DNS you can manage, since the subdomain step needs DNS records added. Any DNS provider works.

Install the Datahash Conversions API app from the Wix App Store, checking first that you are logged in to the correct Wix store, then click Agree & Add.

In the Datahash app, click the Click here link to set up your subdomain. You are redirected to Datahash Studio, where you log in and click the Datahash logo in the center to open the Subdomain Setup screen.

Enter the subdomain you want to use, for example tracking.yourstore.com, then click Next. This is what enables server to server first-party tracking. Studio generates the DNS records for the subdomain, either four NS records or a single CNAME depending on what you are given, which you add at whichever provider manages your domain. Any DNS provider works. Once they are in place, click Proceed and then Finish. See Subdomain setup for the record types and the steps at each provider.

The subdomain has to sit under the main domain’s registry, and cannot be hosted as a primary domain in its own right. DNS changes take time to take effect, so if the next step fails immediately after you add the records, wait rather than starting again.

Return to your Wix store, provide the subdomain in the Datahash app and click Enable Tracking.

Personal identifiers are normalized and SHA-256 hashed before they are sent to any destination.

  • Confirm the subdomain resolves before enabling tracking. Nothing is delivered until it does.
  • Place a test order and confirm the events fire before judging the numbers.
  • Keep the Datahash app installed. Removing it from your Wix store stops delivery.

The subdomain will not verify. The records are wrong or have not taken effect yet. Check they match what Studio showed, then wait before retrying. See Your subdomain is not resolving.

The app is installed but no events arrive. Tracking has probably not been enabled. Return to the Datahash app in your Wix store, provide the subdomain and click Enable Tracking.

It was working and stopped. Check the Datahash app is still installed in your Wix store and that tracking is still enabled.
