Add DNS records at EPIK

These are the steps for EPIK. For what the records do and how to check the setup afterwards, see Subdomain setup.

Datahash tells you which record type to use and gives you the values. Follow the matching section below and enter the values you were given.

Adding NS records

Section titled “Adding NS records”

  1. Sign in to your Epik account.

  2. Go to My Account, then My Domains.

  3. Under My Domains select Registrar, then choose the domain.

  4. Open the square options menu next to the domain, or use DNS & WHOIS in the top navigation.

  5. Select SET DNS HOST RECORD, then NS RECORDS.

  6. Enter one nameserver value and click Add Record, then Save Changes.

You will have been given four nameserver values. Repeat the last two steps until all four records exist. A delegation with one of the four missing looks complete under NS RECORDS and does not resolve.

Adding a CNAME record

Section titled “Adding a CNAME record”

  1. Sign in to Epik and open My Account, then My Domains, then Registrar, then the domain.

  2. Open the square options menu, or use DNS & WHOIS.

  3. Select SET DNS HOST RECORD, then CNAME RECORDS.

  4. Paste the value you were given, click Add Record, then Save Changes.
