Add DNS records at Namesilo

These are the steps for Namesilo. For what the records do and how to check the setup afterwards, see Subdomain setup.

Datahash tells you which record type to use and gives you the values. Follow the matching section below and enter the values you were given.

Adding NS records

Section titled “Adding NS records”

  1. Sign in to Namesilo and go to My Account.

  2. Click domain manager under Account Options.

  3. Choose the domain from the list.

  4. Click Change Nameservers, enter one nameserver value, and click Submit.

You will have been given four nameserver values. Repeat the last two steps until all four records exist. A delegation with one of the four missing looks complete in the domain manager and does not resolve.

Adding a CNAME record

Section titled “Adding a CNAME record”

  1. Sign in to Namesilo and open domain manager under Account Options.

  2. Click the domain, then click Update against the DNS record.

  3. In the Add/Edit resource section choose CNAME as the record type.

  4. Paste the value you were given and click Submit.
