Add DNS records at Instra

These are the steps for Instra. For what the records do and how to check the setup afterwards, see Subdomain setup.

Datahash tells you which record type to use and gives you the values. Follow the matching section below and enter the values you were given.

  1. Sign in to your Instra account.

  2. Go to My Registered Domain(s).

  3. Click the domain you are configuring.

  4. Under Domain Nameserver Details, select Set Up DNS Record.

  5. Add the record and enter one nameserver value.

You will have been given four nameserver values. Repeat the last two steps until all four records exist. A delegation with one of the four missing looks complete under Domain Nameserver Details and does not resolve.

  1. Sign in to Instra and go to My Registered Domain(s), then the domain.

  2. Under Domain Nameserver Details, select Set Up DNS Record.

  3. Add the record and paste the value you were given.

If Set Up DNS Record is not shown, Instra asks you to select Use Instra’s Nameservers first to unlock it. That switches DNS for the domain to Instra, so be sure that is what you want before you do it.
