Add DNS records at Arvixe

These are the steps for Arvixe. For what the records do and how to check the setup afterwards, see Subdomain setup.

Datahash tells you which record type to use and gives you the values. Follow the matching section below and enter the values you were given.

Adding NS records

1. Sign in to Plesk with your reseller credentials.

2. Click Subscriptions in the menu on the left.

3. Click the domain in the Subscription column, then click the DNS Settings icon.

4. Click Add Record.

5. Choose NS as the record type, enter one nameserver value, and click OK.

You will have been given four nameserver values. Repeat the last two steps until all four records exist. A delegation with one of the four missing looks complete in Plesk and does not resolve.

Adding a CNAME record

1. Sign in to Plesk.

2. Click Websites & Domains on the left, then the domain.

3. Click Show More, then DNS Settings, then Add a new record.

4. Change the record type to CNAME, paste the value you were given, and click OK.

Worth knowing

Arvixe DNS is managed in Plesk rather than in the Arvixe account itself, so nothing in the Arvixe billing area holds these records.
