    WHAT THIS ENABLES

    Google Enhanced Conversions Web

Google Enhanced Conversions Web is the server-side collection and hashing of first-party user data alongside your Google Ads conversions, letting Google match signed-in users and recover conversions that browser-only tracking drops.

    • Conversions lost on Safari and iOS recovered and returned to Smart Bidding.
    • Value-based bidding fed the signal quality Google now expects before it performs.
    • Reporting that tracks your backend more closely because matched users are counted, not modeled away.
    WHO THIS IS FOR

Built for the teams that own the number.

Google Ads advertisers seeing conversion undercounting on Safari and iOS.

Teams told by Google to raise signal quality ahead of value-based bidding.

    FAQ

    Questions your team will ask.

    What is Enhanced Conversions?

A Google Ads feature that supplements your conversion tags with hashed first-party data such as email and phone, hashed to SHA-256 before it ever leaves your server. Google matches it against signed-in users to recover conversions that cookies alone miss, particularly on Safari and iOS where third-party tracking is restricted, which improves both reporting accuracy and Smart Bidding performance.

    Does this replace GTM?

No. Enhanced Conversions rides on your existing Google Tag or GTM setup rather than replacing it. Datahash audits your current tag coverage, then adds the server-side user-data capture and hashing layer alongside it; your tag container, triggers, and variables all stay exactly as they are, and Consent Mode v2 is layered in during the same deployment.

What happens if a user declines consent?

With Consent Mode v2 integrated, declined users send no identifiable data at all, no hashed email, no hashed phone. Google then uses aggregated, modeled conversions built from consented traffic to estimate the gap those users leave in reporting, which is exactly the behavior regulators and Google both expect and is required for Enhanced Conversions to run correctly in the EU.
