Ownership over hand-offs
Small teams own a problem end to end, from the connector to the dashboard, including what happens at 2am.
COMPANY / ENGINEERING AT DATAHASH
We move billions of events a month, cookie-free and compliant, so brands can measure what actually works. The engineering is the product.
These are opinions about day-to-day engineering here. They decide how we design systems, review code, and hand out ownership.
Small teams own a problem end to end, from the connector to the dashboard, including what happens at 2am.
We release in small increments and let real event data tell us what to do next.
Compliance with GDPR and India's DPDP shapes the architecture, and engineers help decide how.
We pick the boring, reliable tool when reliability is the product, and experiment when it buys real leverage.
Decisions are written down and open. Anyone can question them.
Mentorship, real code review, and meaningful responsibility early.
We would rather give an engineer a hard problem and real ownership than a spec and a deadline.
The interesting part of Datahash is the systems behind it. Four problems we live in every day.
Every conversion has to be received, validated, hashed, and forwarded to multiple ad platforms inside tight latency budgets, without dropping or duplicating events. Backpressure, idempotency, and retries are daily concerns.
Meta, Google, TikTok, Snap, X, and LinkedIn each have their own Conversions API quirks, rate limits, and schema changes. We build connectors that stay correct while the platforms shift under us.
We hash and encrypt first-party data so raw PII is never stored, while keeping matching accurate enough to drive ad performance. Getting both right at once is the job.
Customers bet ad budgets on our numbers, so measurement has to be reconcilable and debuggable end to end.
THE STACK
We care more about judgment than any single language, and we build on a modern, cloud-native stack. When newer tooling earns its place, we adopt it early and retire what it replaces.
You will not spend your time nursing legacy servers or frozen framework versions. You will spend it on the problems that are actually hard.
