    What is Enhanced Conversions?

    A Google Ads feature that sends hashed first-party data such as email and phone alongside your conversions. Google matches it against signed-in accounts to recover conversions that tag-only tracking misses, which improves both reporting and bidding. Google reports median lifts of about 5% on Search and about 17% on YouTube from turning it on.

    Do we need a first-party subdomain?

    Not for Enhanced Conversions or OCI. A first-party subdomain matters for Tag Gateway and server-side tagging, where serving Google tags from your own domain makes measurement more durable against browser restrictions. Datahash sets this up when the architecture calls for it.

    How does Consent Mode v2 fit in?

    Consent Mode v2 passes each user's consent state to Google with every event. Where consent is denied, Google models conversions instead of observing them. Datahash routes consent signals alongside your server-side events so both measurement and modeling stay compliant, and nothing is delivered for users whose consent state says otherwise.
