    Snap App CAPI

Your app funnel, back in Snap's optimization loop.

Server-side app conversion tracking into Snap, integrated with your MMP.

    WHO THIS IS FOR

Built for the teams that own the number.

App-first brands running Snap as an acquisition channel.

Teams rebuilding iOS signal quality after ATT.

    HOW DATAHASH SETS IT UP

    From kickoff to verified events.

    1. Ingest

Connect your MMP, such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Branch, or a direct SDK feed.

    2. Configure

Snap App CAPI destination with hashed identifiers and dedupe against SDK events.

    3. Verify

Events confirmed in Snap Events Manager before campaigns switch over.

    WHAT FLOWS WHERE

    One use case, every source.

An in-app purchase fires through your MMP or SDK, Signals hashes the identifiers and checks ATT status, then delivers the event to Snap's App Conversions API.

    WHAT YOU GET

    What ships with this offering.

App conversions delivered to Snap server-side.

Match rate preserved through hashed identifiers.

Consistent measurement across your web and app funnels.

    ON THE WIRE

    What the platform actually receives.

Identifiers are hashed with SHA-256 at source. The payload the destination sees never contains raw PII.

    FAQ

    Questions your team will ask.

Do we still need our MMP?

Yes, and it stays your attribution source of truth. Datahash sits alongside your MMP, whether that's AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Branch, taking its postbacks or exports and delivering them to Snap's app endpoint with the hashed identifiers Snap needs for matching. Events are deduped against your existing SDK feed and confirmed in Snap Events Manager before campaigns switch over, so nothing doubles up.

What identifiers are used for matching?

Hashed email and phone where available, plus device-level identifiers permitted under the user's ATT status. Datahash hashes every identifier before it leaves your environment, so raw PII never reaches Snap. Matching quality depends on how many of these identifiers each event carries, which is why we audit your SDK feed for coverage during setup and close any gaps before go-live.

    What happens with ATT opt-outs?

Opted-out users are routed without restricted device identifiers, relying instead on hashed contact identifiers such as email and phone where the user has consented. Delivery stays policy-compliant while preserving as much match signal as the opt-in state allows. Events still reach Snap's app endpoint through the same pipeline, just with a leaner identifier set for that user.
