    CONNECTIONS / DigitalOcean

DigitalOcean + Datahash: Spaces exports become signals.

DigitalOcean Spaces gives small teams S3-compatible storage without the setup overhead of a larger cloud provider. Signals watches the Space you already write exports to, hashes each row on arrival, and routes matched events to your ad platforms.

    WHAT FLOWS THROUGH DIGITALOCEAN

The signal DigitalOcean yields, and receives.

Every kind of signal that moves between DigitalOcean and the platforms, through one hashed, deduplicated route.

    Offline conversions
A Space configured for exports gets watched the same way any bucket would, so a lightweight app running on a single droplet can feed Signals without standing up a bigger data pipeline.
    Lead conversions
Startups tend to iterate on their export format as the product changes, so the column mapper absorbs a renamed field or reordered column without breaking the feed.
    Custom audiences
Emails and phone numbers are SHA-256 hashed as the file is read, and the object is discarded after processing, so a small team's customer list is not retained anywhere beyond that run.
    Lead generation inbound
Each row reports back a delivery status per destination, so a schema mistake in a fast-moving export gets flagged instead of silently dropping rows.

    FAQ

    DigitalOcean questions, answered.

    Which file formats are supported?

Delimited files such as CSV and TSV with configurable headers are the common case, and fixed-width layouts can be handled through the column mapper. Point Signals at the Space and file pattern your export job writes to, and any matching object is parsed on arrival, which suits a small team's existing setup without extra tooling.

Is customer PII stored by Datahash?

Identifiers are SHA-256 hashed at ingestion and no PII is stored on host servers in Datahash Cloud, with the source file discarded once processed. A self-hosted Core deployment is available if a later compliance requirement means data cannot leave your own infrastructure, even as the product scales past a single Space.

Do we need a data pipeline to use this?

No. If your app already writes CSV exports to a Space, Signals watches that Space directly and needs no separate pipeline or warehouse in between. A cron job or scheduled export from your existing backend is enough to keep conversion data flowing to your ad platforms.
