    WHAT THIS ENABLES

    Shopify to Snap Custom Audience

Shopify to Snap Custom Audience treats a Shopify customer segment as the live definition of a Snap audience, pushing hashed adds and removals on every refresh so suppression and lookalike targeting on Snap never drifts from who the store is actually selling to.

    • High-value Shopify segments targetable on Snap the day they are defined.
    • Recent purchasers pulled out of Snap prospecting spend right after checkout.
    • Lookalike seeds built from cohorts your own order history already ranks as best.

    WHAT FLOWS WHERE

    Shopify to Custom Audience, mapped.

Shopify customer segment updates leave the storefront, are hashed within Signals, and populate the audience via Snap's Custom Audiences API.

    FAQ

    Asked on almost every call.

What identifiers does Snap match a Shopify segment on?

Hashed email and phone from the Shopify customer record, plus a mobile advertising ID where the storefront's app or SDK captures one. Every identifier is hashed with SHA-256 before it leaves Shopify, so Snap only ever receives the hash, never raw contact details, and match rates improve as more of these identifiers are present per customer.

Can the same Shopify segment feed Snap and other ad platforms at once?

Yes. A segment defined once in Shopify admin can sync to Snap, Meta, Google, and TikTok at the same time, each with its own hashed key handling and refresh schedule. A merchant does not need to rebuild the segment logic for every additional ad platform it feeds, only configure the destination.
