What are Custom Audiences?

You know your customers best! Custom Audiences allow you to reach specific Snapchatters based on data that is unique to your business, product, or service.

Snapchat supports the following:  

• Customer List Audiences are built directly from your customer lists of emails or device ids.
• Lookalike Audiences consist of Snapchatters who are likely to be interested in your business because they’re similar to people who already are.  
• Third-Party Custom Audiences offer a way for brands to reach a highly targeted group of Snapchatters based on their past buying patterns or viewership behaviors.
• Pixel Custom Audiences represent a group of high-intent individuals who have engaged directly with your brand in the past.   
• Mobile App Custom Audiences are available to any app advertiser configured with a mobile measurement partner (MMP). To unlock access to this feature, you must first configure a Snap App ID and connect it to your ad account in Ads Manager.
• Ad Engagement Audiences provide a way to target Snapchatters who have taken a specific action on ads with your ad account or specific campaign(s) within your ad account.   
• Profile Engagement Custom Audiences are targeting segments built from engagement with your Public Profile and organic content.   
• Expand audience automatically provides an option to allow Snap to increase the reach of your campaigns, based on the predefined audiences or custom audiences you have already selected.
