Marketing Pixel

A “Marketing Pixel” is a small piece of code that’s embedded on your website. It’s mainly used to track user behaviour and conversions. When a user visits your site, they trigger the pixel and send data back to your advertising platform. This data allows advertisers to track the impact of their marketing efforts. Pixels are usually 1×1 transparency images or snippets of JavaScript. Retargeting is the process of showing ads to a user based on their past online behaviour. Marketing pixels can also provide insights into your user’s demographics and site interactions. From an engineering point of view, it’s important to make sure that pixels load quickly and don’t affect site performance.
