Option 9: Set up MySQL as Data Destination for LinkedIn Lead Generation Ads

Description:  

MySQL is an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS) widely used for managing and storing data. It utilizes Structured Query Language (SQL) for accessing and manipulating data, making it a popular choice for web applications, analytics, and data warehousing.


Prerequisites:  

  • MySQL Hostname
  • Port
  • MySQL Username
  • MySQL Password
  • Database Name
  • Table Name

Getting Started:  

  • Go to Datahash Studio and log in with your credentials.
  • Navigate to the Files category under Destinations on the right section.
  • Click on the MySQL connector tile.


Configure LinkedIn Lead Ads Source  

  • Select the LinkedIn Lead Ads source type
  • Choose the connection name you want to integrate (must already exist in the LinkedIn Lead Ads Source connector).
  • Provide a name for the connection.

Provide MySQL Access Credentials  

Fill in the required details:

  • MySQL Hostname: Hostname of your MySQL server.
  • Port: Port number of the MySQL instance.
  • Username: User with required read/write access.
  • Password: Password for the provided username.
  • Database Name: Target database where data will be sent.
  • Table Name: Target table where the data will be pushed.
  • Click on Validate Credentials to confirm access.

Field Mapping  

  • Map LinkedIn Lead Form Fields to the respective MySQL database columns.
  • The Lead ID (or ID) field is mandatory and must be mapped.
  • Map additional fields as needed.
  • Once complete, click on Test Connection.

Complete Setup  

  • Click Finish to complete the setup.
  • Once the connection is verified, the instance will appear on the dashboard.

Managing Instances  

Adding a New Instance  

  • Follow the same setup process:
    • Select LinkedIn Lead Ads source type.
  • Provide MySQL credentials.
  • Perform field mapping.
  • Validate credentials and test the connection.
  • Click Finish to complete.
  • The new instance (e.g., Ads connection 2) will appear in the manage instances table.

Editing an Existing Instance  

  • From the dashboard, click on the existing connection name.
  • Click on the Edit icon (top right corner).
  • Update the required field values or credentials.
  • Once done, click on Next
  • Click Validate CredentialsTest Connection.
  • If you click Cancel, the previous configuration will remain active.
  • Click Finish to save and apply the updates.
