Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a portfolio of intelligent business applications designed to deliver operational efficiency and enhanced customer experiences. It enables businesses to become more agile, streamline processes, and reduce complexity without increasing costs. By integrating Google Forms with MS Dynamics via Datahash, you can automatically push form submissions into Dynamics CRM for efficient lead management.
Prerequisites:
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
- A valid MS Dynamics account
- Dynamics Domain Name (from Dynamics 365 account)
- Web API Endpoint (from Microsoft Power Apps > Settings > Developer Resources)
- Application Client ID (from Azure AD App Registration)
- Tenant ID (from Azure AD)
- Client Secret (from Azure AD App Registration)
Getting Started:
- Log in to Datahash Studio.
- Navigate to the CRM category under Destinations.
- Click on the MS Dynamics connector tile.
Authentication Setup
- Choose the Authentication type.
- Provide the following details:
- Dynamics Domain Name – The domain name of your MS Dynamics 365 account (visible in your account’s address bar).
- Web API Endpoint – Found in Microsoft Power Apps > Settings > Developer Resources.
- Application Client ID – Generated during Azure Active Directory (AAD) app registration.
- Client Secret – Secret key created during AAD app registration.
- Tenant ID – The unique identifier (Directory ID) for your Azure AD instance.
- Once all details are entered, click Validate Credentials.
Configure the Connection
- Select Google Forms as the source type.
- Choose the Google Forms connection you already configured in the Source connector.Once selected, provide a name to this connection.
- Provide a name for this MS Dynamics connection instance.
- Click Next.
Field Mapping
- Map the Google Forms fields with the corresponding MS Dynamics schema fields.
- Ensure all required fields (e.g., name, email, phone) are correctly mapped.
- Map additional optional fields as needed.
- Once mapping is complete, click Test Connection.
Test and Finish
- A test record will be pushed to verify the connection.
- Once successful, click Finish.
- The connected instance will now appear on your dashboard.
Adding a New Instance
- Repeat the setup process (select source, authenticate, provide instance name).
- Map the Google Forms fields to MS Dynamics fields.
- Click Test Connection.
- Once successful, click Finish.
- The new instance (e.g., Ads connection 2) will appear in the Manage Existing Connections table.
Editing an Existing Instance
- In the dashboard, click the connection name from the Manage Connections table.
- Click the Edit icon (top-right corner) to enable edit mode.
- Update field mappings or credentials as required.
- Click Test Connection to verify updates.
- If you click Cancel, the existing configuration remains unchanged.
- Updates are applied only after clicking Finish.
- Click Finish to save the changes.
