Description
Google Forms can be connected as a data source in Datahash. This is done using the Google Forms AppSheet add-on, which automatically converts a Google Form into an AppSheet app. The add-on analyzes your form, maps questions to a linked response sheet, and makes the data available for integration.
Prerequisites
A valid Google Account with access to the target Google Form.
Getting Started
- Log in to Datahash Studio.
- Navigate to the Lead Generation category under Sources in the left panel.
- Click on the Google Forms connector tile.
Authenticate with Google
- Click Sign in with Google to start the authentication flow.
- Select the Google account you want to connect.
- Click Continue.
- You will be redirected back to the Datahash dashboard.
Configure the Connection
- Provide a name for this connection.
- Choose the Google Form from which you want to send data.
- Click Test Connection.
- A preview of the data received from the form will be shown.
- Once confirmed, click Finish to complete the setup.
- Your connected Google Forms instance will now appear on the dashboard.
Managing Instances
Adding a New Instance
- Follow the same setup steps as above (choose Google account, form, connection name).
- Click Test Connection to verify data flow.
- Click Finish.
- The new instance (e.g., Ads connection 2) will appear in the Manage Connections table.
Editing an Existing Instance
- From the dashboard, click the connection name in the Manage Connections table.
- Click the Edit icon (top right corner) to enable edit mode.
- Update the required fields (e.g., connection name or form selection).
- Click Test Connection to verify updates.
- If you click Cancel, the previous configuration continues to run.Updates only apply once you click Finish.
- Click Finish to save changes.
