Step 3: Set up X (Twitter) Conversions API Destination

Description

The X (Twitter) Conversion API enables you to measure the number of Twitter users who perform desired actions after viewing or engaging with your ads. This helps you:

  • Understand which campaigns drive site visits, sign-ups, and purchases.
  • Measure performance of direct-response ads with off-Twitter tracking.
  • Optimize campaign spend to acquire customers cost-effectively.

Pre-Requisites  

Before starting, ensure you have:

  • An X Ads account.
  • A website or marketing data system.
  • An X Pixel already created.
  • An X Business Manager account.
  • Server-side API permissions enabled.

Getting Started  

  1. Log in to your Datahash account: https://studio.datahash.com/login
  2. In the right-hand menu, navigate to the X category under Destinations.
  3. Click the X Conversion API connector tile.

Step 1: Authenticate with X  

  1. Click Sign in with X to start the authentication flow.
  2. Log in with the X Ads account you want to integrate.
    • If you are logged into a different account, log out and sign in with the correct one.
  3. Click Authorize App, accept the necessary permissions, and click Save.

Step 2: Select Account & Pixel  

  1. You will be redirected back to the Datahash dashboard.
  2. Choose the Advertiser ID you want to proceed with.
  3. Select the associated Pixel ID (these will be auto-populated based on your connected account).

Step 3: Complete Setup  

  • Click Finish to complete the setup.
  • Data will start flowing from your source to X via the Conversion API.
