Description
The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) allows you to automatically transfer TikTok Lead Ads data from Datahash to your own FTP/SFTP/FTPS server. This ensures your leads are stored securely on your infrastructure, ready for further processing or integration with internal systems.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- FTP Server Address (Hostname)
- FTP Port Number (default for SFTP is 22)
- FTP Username (with read/write access)
- FTP Password
- Relative Path to Data Folder (optional — if not provided, data is stored at root)
- An existing TikTok Lead Ads Source connection in Datahash
Setup Instructions
1 – Log in to Datahash
- Go to https://studio.datahash.com/login
- Enter your credentials and log in
2 – Open File FTP Connector
- Navigate to Destinations → Files in the right panel
- Click on the File FTP connector tile
3 – Select Data Source
- Choose TikTok Lead Ads as the source type
- Select your existing connection name from the TikTok Lead Ads Source setup
- Enter a name for this FTP destination connection
4 – Configure FTP Transfer Details
- Choose File Transfer Mode:
- SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
- FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
- FTPS (FTP Secure)
- Select Data Export Frequency:
- Realtime
- 1 hour
- 3 hours
- 1 day
- Click Next
5 – Enter FTP Credentials
Provide the access details for your FTP server:
- Hostname: e.g., ftp.yourdomain.com
- Port: default is 22 (change if required)
- Username: your FTP account username
- Password: your FTP account password
- Relative Path to Data Folder: e.g., /leads/data
Click Next to continue.
6 – Datahash Folder Creation
- A ‘Datahash’ folder will be created in your provided path (or at root if none specified)
- Inside it, another folder named after your Lead Ads connection will be created
- Lead files will be stored here with timestamps in their filenames
A new file will be created for each export cycle
7 – Finalize Setup
- Test the connection to verify access and permissions
- Click Finish to complete the setup
- Your FTP connection will now appear in the Dashboard
Managing Connections
Add a New Instance
- Repeat the setup process with different credentials or frequency
- Click Finish — the new connection will appear in the Manage Existing Connections table
Edit an Existing Instance
- Go to Manage Existing Connections
- Click the connection name you want to edit
- Click the Edit icon (top-right)
- Update any field (transfer mode, frequency, credentials, folder path)
- Click Next, verify the connection, then click Finish
(If you cancel before finishing, the old configuration remains active)
