Option 12: Set up MS Excel as Data Destination for TikTok Lead Ads

Video Walkthrough

Description

TikTok Lead Generation Ads allow you to collect customer information directly within TikTok via an Instant Form, without sending users to an external landing page. This improves conversion rates by reducing friction.

Prerequisites

  • A valid TikTok account
  • A TikTok Ads Manager account with active Lead Generation Ads

Setup Instructions

1 – Log in to Datahash

2 – Open Microsoft Excel Connector

  • Navigate to Destinations → Files in the right-hand panel
  • Click on the Microsoft Excel connector tile

3 – Authorize Microsoft Account

  • Sign in with your Microsoft account
  • Grant permissions when prompted so Datahash can write files to your drive

4 – Select Data Source

  • Choose TikTok Lead Ads as the source type
  • Select your existing connection name from the TikTok Lead Ads Source setup
  • Provide a name for the spreadsheet
  • Choose the folder location where the spreadsheet will be stored
  • Click Validate Credentials
  • The system will display the file path where the spreadsheet will be created

5 – Folder & File Structure

  • A folder named ‘Datahash’ will be created in the location you select (or at the drive root if none chosen)
  • Inside it, a subfolder named after your Lead Ads connection will hold your spreadsheet
  • As new leads arrive, data will be appended to the existing spreadsheet automatically

6 – Complete Setup

  • Once validated, click Finish
  • Your new Microsoft Excel destination will now appear in the Dashboard

Managing Connections

Add a New Instance

  • Repeat the above setup with a different spreadsheet name, folder, or connection
  • Validate credentials and click Finish
  • The new connection (e.g., Ads connection 2) will appear in the Manage Existing Connections table

Edit an Existing Instance

  • In the Manage Existing Connections table, click the connection name
  • Click the Edit icon (top-right corner)
  • Update the spreadsheet name, folder, or other settings
  • Click Validate Credentials

(If you cancel before finishing, the old setup remains active)

  • Click Finish to apply the updates
