Description

The Local Product Inventory (LPI) destination in Datahash allows you to send store-level product availability data to Google Merchant Center. This enables Local Inventory Ads in Google Ads, helping you showcase real-time stock availability to nearby customers searching for your products.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have:

  • A Google Merchant Center account with Local Product Inventory uploads enabled
  • The Merchant Center Account ID ready
  • A Google account with permissions to manage the Merchant Center account

Setup Steps in Datahash

1. Log in to Datahash

2. Select LPI Destination

  • In the right navigation, go to Destinations → Google
  • Click on the Local Product Inventory connector tile

3. Authenticate with Google

  • Click Sign in with Google
  • Select the Google account associated with your Merchant Center
  • Click Continue to grant Datahash the necessary permissions

4. Configure Merchant Center Connection

  • You’ll be redirected back to the Datahash dashboard
  • Select your Merchant Center Account ID from the dropdown

5. Complete Setup

  • Click Finish to complete the connection
  • The LPI destination setup will now show as Completed in your dashboard

Post-Setup Status

  • ✅ Successful connection → Status shows Completed and ready to receive LPI data
  • ⏳ If setup is exited before finishing → Status remains Pending; resume anytime by clicking the connection name in the dashboard

Best Practices for LPI Destination

  • Ensure the store codes and product IDs (SKUs) in your source data exactly match those in your Merchant Center catalog
  • Maintain frequent updates (daily or more often for fast-changing inventory)
  • Include required attributes in your feed, such as:
    • store_code
    • id (SKU)
    • quantity
    • price
    • availability
